A new fundraiser at [livejournal.com profile] fandomaid has started!

It's a buy-it-now, not an auction. Offer or buy stuff HERE.

I'm offering fanmixes (2), manips (unlimited), icons (unlimited) and landcomm sig tags (unlimited).

Join us in standing up for reproductive health and education. Planned Parenthood, the organization that delivers reproductive health care, sex education and information to millions of people worldwide, has come under fire in the U.S. lately, with many politicians on both state and federal level seeking to end funding (and in a few cases succeeding).

During the month of May, you can send a specially designed Planned Parenthood vgift to your friends to help support this cause. (And if you need someone to send it to, [livejournal.com profile] frank is always happy to receive gifts!) There are three variations ($1, $5 and $10) for you to choose from, but they'd all look good on your profile when your friends know that you stand by something so important.

Thank you all for your help in our support for Planned Parenthood. This promotion ends June 1, 2012; LiveJournal is not affiliated with Parent Parenthood. For more information about Planned Parenthood, please visit: http://www.plannedparenthood.org/

Made for [livejournal.com profile] munanna, for a charity auction.

I'm sorry it took so long! ♥
As you requested, it's not Sarah/Jareth per se, but it vaguely follows the movie (at least it's supposed to, I hope I did it right. :D) And I hope it's not too all over the place genre-wise - lyrics are my main criteria when making a fanmix. :P

Another charity auction I signed up for. If you'd like to get a fanmix from me click here, if you'd like icons and/or other graphics click here, and if you'd like to "buy" icons (only icons) without bidding click here. :)

And as always you can also browse other people's offers and/or offer something yourself (writing, graphics, audio, RL things and anything else you'd like).

If you'd like me to make you icons or other graphics you can bid here, and if you'd like me to make you a fanmix you can bid here! :)

You can also offer stuff yourself (literally everything - fanfic, graphics, fanmixes, other music, even food and other RL things!) and bid on other people's offers!

The previous auction for Queensland flood relief is closed now (the final bid for my art was $10 - WOAH :D). But I signed up for two more, so if you lost the previous bid, or you were too late, or it got too high for you, now you have a chance again! :)

For Brazil - here.

Another one for Queensland - here.

You can also browse other offers and see if your favorite graphics makers or fanfic writers are offering something, and you can offer your own art and fanfiction too!

And if you know any other charity fundraisers (where you can offer graphics - I don't offer fanfiction) now or in the future, please let me know! It's something I hopefully will always be able to make time for. :)

Sharing is Caring:
For one week, recommend / share:

Day 1: a song
Day 2: a picture
Day 3: a book/ebook/fanfic
Day 4: a site
Day 5: a youtube clip
Day 6: a quote
Day 7: whatever tickles your fancy

I'm gonna cheat here... kinda. ;)
I can't miss the chance to recommend goodsearch.com, this site is made of awesome. It's not only simply useful for you, it also helps any charity you choose yourself! :)
But since it's not the first time I'm writing about GoodSearch on this lj, I'm also gonna recommend iusedtobelieve.com. :D It's a site where everyone can write what you thought was true when you were a child. And you can spend hours reading and rating other hilarious beliefs. :D (Some of my beliefs are in top-rated, hee.)

So, I signed up for Blog Action Day weeks or even months ago, I guess I'll keep the "promise" even though I probably would've written nothing for a while otherwise. :P At least it says to keep your own writing style, and I don't blog per se (before lj I had another blog where I used to write a lot, way too much in fact, and in 2003-2005 I probably went over my blogging limit for next 10 years or so ;)), so I'll just do what I usually do anyway - how you can help the cause without spending money! ^^ Giving links to sites that take actual donations would interest maybe one person or not even that, most people already donate somewhere and spare money to give on a random site isn't something common - but when it costs nothing I hope everyone who sees this post will at least do that click. :D

"Free click to donate" sites that fight poverty, mostly with microloans and education, because that's what makes the most actual difference:
http://povertyfighters.com
http://solvepoverty.com
http://children.care2.com
http://www.theliteracysite.com
http://ripple.org

And then there's http://www.goodsearch.com and goodshop (at the same link - you buy what you'd buy anyway, in the same online shops as always, and some % of the money still goes to charity) with thousands charities you pick yourself, and another site almost exactly like goodshop -
http://www.agoodcause.com. :)

For Children's Day (here and in some other countries), everyone who sees this post gives one click to each site:

porloschicos.com (<- the blue button)
pajacyk.pl (<- the puppet's belly)
thechildhealthsite.com
children.care2.com

(The two non-English sites give food to hungry children.)

It's free and doesn't take more than 2 minutes!

If it's Children's Day where you are, repost it in your lj today! :)
