Challenge #9 - In your own space, celebrate a personal win from the past year: it can be a list of fanworks you're especially proud of, time you spent in the community, a quality or skill you cultivated in yourself, something you generally feel went well.

In addition to my mental health finally significantly improving in the summer (and still continuing to improve), I'm really proud of my progress as an artist. So I'm going to share 5 more of my favorite pieces of fanart I created in 2022 (I already shared one in the scavenger hunt post). :D

Thank you! ♡♡♡ It's a cute and silly children's show where the worldbuilding re: spells is quite literally "if it rhymes, it's a spell", so it was a lot of fun to come up with two new ones in addition to drawing the book and the amulet. :D

"A photo from Eda and Raine's wedding taken by Lily right after King the flower girl climbed the decoration because throwing petals from above is more effective, and Luz the ringbearer's cushion flew away because she had accidentally sewn it from a magic fabric that flies when you say "Up!" (which just happens to also be the answer to the question "Where is King?"), while Hooty took this opportunity to photobomb.

These are beautiful! I never even knew you draw... so I'm kind of flabbergasted.

Have you ever used your own art in landcomms? I mean, maybe you have but since I don't know manga/anime, I might not have realized it by looking at your art.

The bubbles look very realistic, and the book of spells makes me wish to know what's on the other pages.

I don't use my art as bases to make graphics, I'm not against it at all but it's not something I've ever thought of, needed or wanted. *shrugs* :) Probably because I'm the happiest to draw other people's requests (in exchanges and charity auctions), so some of them are not even my favorite characters. :)

I posted a few of my older drawings in the_creative_court once (sorry for never replying to comments on that post xD). :D But otherwise I don't use my art in landcomms at all, and I don't draw for landcomms either (since again, I work best with requests, not challenges).

And thank you again! ♡♡♡ I wrote these two spells myself, but all the spells in the Scaredy Cats canon work on the basis of "does it rhyme? then it's a spell", so they're all in this vein. :D "Toy, break free and talk to me" is one of the canon spells, or "Head of hair to make people stare, long and lush, shiny and fair". (I wrote them from memory so the second one might have a different word here and there, but I don't want to scroll through the episodes and I remember them well from the ~research~ I did for this art. xD :D)
